Nuclear facts about Pm-147
Promethium-147 has been used in the past as a chloride in luminous paint. This material is no longer produced and because of the short half-life (2.6234 years) it's diminishing and thus difficult to obtain.
Some sources say that Pm-147 is not emitting gamma rays and that it's a pure beta emitter. However, this is just an oversimplification. Pm-147 indeed emits gamma and X-rays, though the rate is small.

Some significant facts about Pm-147 decay:
Decay mode: beta- (100%), Q-value=224.1 keV
Gamma rays: 121.220 keV (0.0028%), 197.299 keV (0.00000034%), ...
X-rays: 40.118 keV (0.001146%), 39.522 keV (0.000632%), ...
Beta rays: 224.1 keV (99.994%), 102.88 keV (0.0057%), ...
Decay heat: 0.33 W/g

Pm-147 decays into Sm-147, which is a primordial radioisotope with a very long half-life ~106 Billions of years (note, that this is more than 7 times the age of the Universe).
