RE: max non turbo settings
If this is reported under XTU, then it's a bug in XTU reporting by BIOS. HWiNFO only interprets the information according to the standard.

Maybe it reports the Max possible value always and not the currently set one.

i'm sure it reports also the current 23.
here's the debug file.

I have checked the data and all that should be reported is also reported.

RE: max non turbo settings
there is a problem, though.
sometimes it reports 23 and sometimes 24.

As I already said - HWiNFO only displays what the BIOS reports...

RE: max non turbo settings
the question is, why this value changes in the readings.
this is a fix and stored value in bios, which cannot change by itself.

RE: max non turbo settings
And when does it change ? If you make a certain setting in BIOS and don't change it, then lauch HWiNFO more times do you get different values ? Or is a reset required to see a changed value in HWiNFO ?

RE: max non turbo settings
when i start the computer and measure i get 23.
if i measure again i get again 23. another time when i start the computer i measure 24. but this value never changes in bios. other values over 23 would be turbo up to 26. that would say, multiplier current 24, 25, 26. but max non turbo multiplier will never change and is 23.

RE: max non turbo settings
Have you tried Intel Extreme Tuning Utility if it reports the same value as HWiNFO?

RE: max non turbo settings
If you change this setting, it should be reflected in HWiNFO also in the HFM (Max) operating point. Is this same as the XTU value reported?
Maybe AIDA64 might report XTU information as well, but I'm not absolutely sure. You'll need to try it. |

RE: max non turbo settings
ok i set it to 21 in bios,
start windows and hwinfo reports 21. so the parameter is right. i bootet twice, value still 21. now i set it back to 23. hwinfo reports 23, even after 2 reboots. ![]() yeah, forgot HFM is right depending on max non turbo value. , when hwinfo reported wrong max non turbo (24) HFM was 3200 MHz at 23 it is 3066 BTW what is the empty CPU status value under CPU Turbo not filled out here. all values on system summary?

RE: max non turbo settings
i have remarked,
that every cold computer start comes up with max non turbo = 24, while every reboot afterwards comes up with max non turbo = 23.

RE: max non turbo settings
I think this is a BIOS issue. HWiNFO has no influence on this.

RE: max non turbo settings
have to find out.
i cannot imagine the the parameter is changed in BIOS. so it can only a value report issue, what value the BIOS reports. ![]() however, i found that i can read also the max non turbo parameter with throttlestop. so i will compare it with hwinfo and tell you details afterwards. atleast there is even no rule, that the cold computer start comes with value=24. this was an error of mine. i didn't measure long time enough. today another cold start came even with value=23. hope it's not randomly. tell you later.

RE: max non turbo settings
the value 24 came up again after cold start.
i could compare hwinfo and throttlestop. both display the same value 24.

Then it's definitively a BIOS (reporting) issue.
