7900x Temperatures question
#1
Hi all, just a quick question regarding reported temps in HWinfo.

Basically there are two different CPU package temps listed, wondering which i should be paying attention to. The one in the smaller section, at the bottom of the image, is always hotter than every core, and the DTS section package temp, by a long margin.

this is at 4.8ghz @ around 1.24v

cheers!

edit: HWMonitor shows the same package temp as the DTS section of HWinfo (i.e. the lower value)

This is a question, which Intel didn't clarify yet. It seems that some CPUs use an offset between package temperatures read via different sources (which is what you actually see).
I personally believe you should pay attention to those in the DTS section.

Thank you very much Smile
