Maximum Link width query
#1
I have a M.2 NVMe SSD and using Samsung Controller driver, with my old BIOS I had maximum link width 2x, I have updated the BIOS to the latest one and maximum link width changed to 4x but current link width stays the same(2x), do I have to reinstall the OS or it could be a MB limitation? Thanks in anticipation.

The PCIe root port reports maximum link width 2x, so this looks to me as if the M.2 slot doesn't support more links.
You might better check with the mainboard manufacturer about capabilities and connection of the M.2 slot.

Thanks Martin for the prompt reply, I'll try contacting Acer  Smile
