Okay although this doesn't directly solve my issue with the previous method (launching with task scheduler), it appears to be a working one for the old Alienware M18X R2. (Changed to Autostart in the initial setup) HWiNFO64.ini Thank you again Mr. Fox!

Hey guys, about 90% of the time the shortcut in the notification bar is gone, leaving me no options to access anything. It is running in taskmanager but i have no way to change anything or mess with the fan settings. force closing it (when it will let me) and restarting it doesn't fix the issue...
