Cant tell if there is much improvement, maybe there is, but still a bit of stuttering while gaming can be noticed if HWINFO window is visible on screen and not minimized even after turning off EC support. Perhaps it's something about the way HWINFO draws graphs that is the cause of stuttering?
Ryzen 5 5600, Asrock B550M Pro4, GTX 1070, 32GB ram, Win11. Where can I check for these EC sensors, not sure what they are?
EDIT: Ok found it under "Safety" tab in main settings there is EC support, will try to turn it off to see if there is difference.
Not sure if I should open separate topic or just comment here. HWINFO is causing major stuttering and fps loss on nvidia gtx 1070 in at least League of Legends while hwinfo sensors window and graphs are visible. It's much less if they are hidden behind another window or minimized. Other notable...
Using task view in Windows 10 to create additional virtual desktop one can move application windows to particular desktop and then switch between desktops. Unfortunately hwinfo's graphs windows remain constantly on screen regardless which virtual desktop is selected.
I'm glad you got something positive out of this. :)
Do you mind if I hijack this at the end to ask if you can shed some light on what tscsyncpolicy enhanced does and should I be ignoring it or can it be useful to use?
It seems so. When HPET is enabled in bios it seems to show proper clocks. Although I was also messing with
bcdedit /set useplatformclock true
bcdedit /set tscsyncpolicy Enhanced
and dunno if that had anything to do with it while HPET was enabled in bios but I doubt it. In the meantime i deleted...
It seems there was a trivial solution. I was messing around with bios settings and turned on HPET and suddenly HWInfo was showing proper clocks. But normally I don't run with HPET so after disabling it I went to settings and noticed "use HPET" after unchecking it HWInfo is showing proper clocks...

In older versions like 5.60.3280 turbo boost ratios were detected, although I must admit sometimes clocks showed weird numbers including bus, cpu speeds, ratios.
In latest version 5.84 and 5.85-3465 beta sensors only show max x22 ratios without turbo (which...
