Just an update. This is in fact related to Armoury Crate, I removed the program completely and HWInfo is stable with EC enabled.
The Armoury Crate have access to EC so it can control the motherboard's mini OLED screen where you can display all kind of sensors info - temps, voltages, etc.
What...
I uninstalled the Armoury Crate and HWinfo run for 1m38s, but unfortunately hanged again. It lasted way longer than usual.
Can you check the attached .dbg file?
No Riot Vanguard.
The problem here is that I have to kill the process to be able to pull that debug file, otherwise it just hangs.
It hangs the system to the point that after the reboot mobo doesn't power cycle, I have to manually power cycle the whole PC.
Was this ever resolved? I had the same issue on Z II Extreme and now on Extreme II Alpha.
Asus EC enabled stops/crashes HWInfo within a minute. I have no other monitoring programs.
I uninstalled AI Suite, re-enabled EC Support and Disk scan and unfortunately, the program froze again after a minute. It only works with EC Support disabled, regardless of AI Suite.
I have no other monitoring tools in place.
That seems to work!
I disabled both "EC Support" and "Disk Scan" and the program is up and working for over 15 minutes now, that never happened before.
No, I don't have any other monitoring programs, unless you count AI Suite 3 from Asus.
Thanks Martin!
Hi,
I have a problem with H64. It freezes after a couple of seconds to a maximum 2 minutes.
After that, I can close the program, but I can see still being active in task manager. I can't kill the HWiNFO64 process in the task manager.
Re-running the program does nothing.
The worse is that...
