    CPU QDF s-spec string

the SR2YN ? no. but there are many myths about the processor, many buyer don't get them to work. because the microcode 50653 is not supported by standard motherboards.

there are two OEM B1 recognised by HWinfo. Platinum 8136 SR2YN Platinum 8124 SR2YS there is one more to come(on its way to me) "CPU 0000%@" 24 cores 1,7Ghz base - 3,6Ghz Turbo - 50653(B1) too.

Hi Martin, sorry to bother you again: got a very interesting cpu. HWinfo shows QKGG but that must be wrong because its cpuid is 50653 have you the matching q-spec ? QLKH is printed on it, but i looks not like the way Intel does print. thanks PIC

    EPYC Rome ES CPU temperature

7452 ??? this part has only 155 Watts. the 7542(225W) is more near the 3970x

    EPYC Rome ES CPU temperature

would be helpful to see a 7452/7502 production units CPU die (average) value.

    EPYC Rome ES CPU temperature

I suspect the processor adds the temperatures of all 4 CCDs and then incorrectly divides them by 2 instead of 4.

    EPYC Rome ES CPU temperature

HWinfo sensors: CPU Die (average) is IMHO nonsense. in the IPMI sensor page is nothing hot. IPMI sensors

    EPYC Rome ES CPU temperature

i meant it is not a good idea to stress a engineering samples(unlocked) with temperature and load. i don't know what stepping his cpu has, early ones just take to much power on high temps and burn out, that's what the seller say'd.

    EPYC Rome ES CPU temperature

be careful, AMD ES have no limiter/fuse. they burn out without warning.

I now got a cascade lake ES labeled as QQ8M(ES2?), but HWinfo shows QQU1(QS) [attachment=3411] here is the Debug file. [attachment=3412]

    CPU QDF s-spec string

looked just for fun into the memtest logfile and found more information. this may help to support supermicro boards, its a x11spm-f 2018-12-03 15:38:57 - Failed to retrieve SPD info. Enumerating PCI bus... 2018-12-03 15:38:57 - Scanning PCI for devices: ............. 2018-12-03 15:38:58...

Bad per core frequency window on LGA3647 platform

Which CPU-Z version do you use ? i have a X11SPM-F too and CPU-Z shows NO spd data all all.

    CPU QDF s-spec string

obviously... memtest86 shows no serial numbers. OK, thanks for checking.

    CPU QDF s-spec string

as you see in the screenshot the memory modules are not shown there. at first i thought thats normal because the spd is caught by the bmc/ipmi for thermal sensor readout (i have found no bios settings for polling etc) yesterday i had to check some memory modules and i startet memtest86...

Bus Clock dropping under gaming load

Games use several techniques to get more or ALL priority. Games maybe use same timers that are use for measuring blk.
