I was afraid you'd say that. I agree, it is not one for those parameters that need to be monitored constantly. I guess I am one of the few who are obsessed with knowing what's and how's everything going on. I have lots of storage devices in my system. Apart from waiting for S.M.A.R.T. to tell me...
The power-on hours and power-on resets are not available on the Sensors windows. As such they cannot be imported to Rainmeter using info provided by the Shared Memory Viewer plugin.
Is there a way to import the said device statistics to Rainmeter?
If not, any plans to...
I updated to beta 3350, and I noticed there were some sensors missing from the previous build.
The sensors are PCH and T_Sensor 1 on my Asus Maximus IX Code motherboard. I am not sure if there are more missing.
Thanks for the quick reply, Martin.
By "main HWINFO window", did you mean the sensors window?
I've been using on my Rainmeter skin the following SMART information from HWI's sensor page for a long time now, see attached image.
But I was just wondering if the...
I've recently used CrystalDiskInfo to check the health of my hard drives, and I noticed some information showing Power On Count and Power On Hours.
Is there a setting (apart from the default settings) in HWI's settings dialog box that I can activate to show this info?
I understand that in...
You are right above nvidia doesn't provide more details. I will try the nvidia forums and I will report back if I find out anything.
Keep up the good work, Martin, and thanks you. Ever since I discovered HWInfo and Rainmeter, my tech experience became more exciting.
The "Total GPU Power (normalized) [% of TDP]" nor "Total GPU Power [% of TDP]" readings never exceeds 100%, when I think they should.
The TDP of the GPU is 150W.
For example, the reading of "GPU Power" is 213.809W and the % of TDP is 93.8% and 96.5% for normalized.
Shouldn't the % of...
Thank you very much, Martin. It works like a charm. I can't live without HWiNFO.
Attached is a screenshot of my left top auxiliary monitor where my HWiNFO-rich system monitoring Rainmeter skins are.
Thank you again for HWiNFO.
I am copying huge amount of files from the 2TB Drive: WDC WD20EARS-00MVWB0 (WD-WMAZ20089342) to the 3TB Drive: ST3000DM008-2DM166 (Z503M75C) but here's a screenshot showing I am writing to the 2TB (whereas I am reading from it) and no either read or write activity on the 3TB.
I have been using the HWiNFO plugin with Rainmeter for close to 3 years for one thing to monitor mt SSD/HHDs in my system, with no problems. I am perfectly happy with HWiNFO and Rainmeter.
All in all, I have 1SSD and 5 HDDs, all with less than 2TB capacities.
I replaced a 2TB HDD with a...
So I experimented on connecting 2 different fans (1400 rpm 120mm and 1 800 rpm 200mm) to the same header with a daisy chain connector. I discovered I didn't have a Y-splitter, but instead has a 3-in-1 daisy chain connector. I used 2 different-speed fans to know which fan is giving the readings...
I did try connecting 2 fans with a fan splitter to just one fan header to my existing system, and the fan speed read 1100-ish rpm at when at full speed. I get the same speed when on;y 1 fan is connected.
My concern is if HWInfo might get erratic tach input signals because of the 2 fans.
If I use a fan splitter cable for two similar fans connected to one motherboard fan header, would it be a problem for HWInfo? I mean, the fans will be running at the same speed (I guess?), but will HWInfo be confused which of the two fans it will get the fan RPM from? For example, one of the...
