I am using and old 3 Gbp/s 64 bit Windows 7 Ultimate + SP1 on a Desktop with several OLD 3 Gbp/s Disks,
plus a NEW 6 Gbp/s Green 2000 GB drive from WDC which writes at less than half the speed of the 3 Gbp/s Disks.
This 6 Gbp/s 2000 GB has a 100 GB partition at the beginning

Some Applications are designed for installing into Windows and store some stuff in the registry and other stuff in the user's profile,
and PortableApps will "Portabalize" them by capturing all the registry stuff and profile stuff in a dedicated...

I had been told that the PCI Express had White sockets, and all I could see was what your linked manual shows (on page 2-22) as a PCI Slot
I now realise that I have easy access to not only that slot, but also
Blue PCI EXPRESS x16_3 SLOT and
Black PCI EXPRESS...

I understood that I was getting a proper portable when I downloaded hw32_422.zip today
(rather than a make-believe Portable-ISED variant that makes temporary use of the registry)
The last item on the Sensor Status report is
PCIe Link Speed 5.000 Gbps 5.000 Gbps 5.000 Gbps 5.000 Gbps
I hope this means my motherboard not only supports but is running as PCI Express Base 2.0 specification.
Do you actually measure this 5 Gbps as present reality...
