VR temperature not showed anymore in v6.26

Oh, I see. Anyway this is not a big issue, what is important to me is to have that value when the VRMs start heating up. I sometimes had a strange throttling on my CPU that I could not understand, then I see that VR thermal throttling kicks in when those little module reach 96 °C (CPU is...

VR temperature not showed anymore in v6.26

Yep. I tried with v6.27-4161 and it looks 100% repeatable: if I start HWiNFO with the system at idle, the sensor does not show up, and then show up when the VRMs start heating up. Once the sensor show up, it doesn't disappear anymore, it only goes greyed out when it reachs "11 °C" and turns...

VR temperature not showed anymore in v6.26

Now it is working with the new 6.27! I had to put the system under load, to "activate" the sensor. Now withe the system at idle, it reports 11°C and it's greyed out, it's like the sensor is disabled/unable to report the temp when it's cold.

VR temperature not showed anymore in v6.26

Thanks for the quick reply, but it seems not working for me. Anyway, since you talk about it being "more stable", in the previous builds tha sensor was quite stable for me. It reported 11°C when the CPU was not under lod (quite unrealistic), but apart from that it seemed quite reliable under load.

VR temperature not showed anymore in v6.26

Hi, I have an Asus G751JY and I'm using HWiNFO64 for several years. Today I updated to v6.26-4160, and I cannot see VR thermal sensor anymore. It was under CPU [#0]: Intel Core i7-4710HQ: Enhanced before the update of today. Can it be restored? It was very helpful for me! Thanks :)

    VR Thermal Alert question

Hi Martin, I come back to report what Intel Support has replied to me  ;) "We cannot confirm which VRMs those tools are identifying since none of the mentioned are an official Intel tool. You will need to confirm with their repective developing teams, the answer could be related to the code...

    VR Thermal Alert question

Thank you, I will ask on the Intel community then. I want to try to keep these VRMs a little bit cooler, so I want to know where they are  :)

    VR Thermal Alert question

Hi, I have an Asus ROG notebook with a i7-4710HQ and latest version of HWiNFO64. CPU is Haswell, so with the integrate voltage regulatore FIVR. I OCced to 3.7 an all 4 cores and during stress test with AVX2 (AIDA64 FPU for example), after some minutes I notice some throttling caused by VR...

Ok, I understand. Thank you for the explanation.

Questions/requests about CPU clock and usage

Ok, of course applications and games see all logical cores, so in my case they see 8 cores. But I noticed that most of them (especially not the newest games) use the two threads of a single physical core like they are a single core, so the average Usage between Thread #1 and Thread #2 of the...

Questions/requests about CPU clock and usage

Hi Martin, I'm using HWiNFO64 v5.44-3070 on my Asus G751JY. I used it for years, and recently I started using the OSD monitoring with RTSS during my gaming sessions. I can OC my CPU up to 3.8 GHz, but I want to determinate the minimum CPU clock that doesn't bottleneck the GPU (at least for the...

Asus ROG G751JY CPU fan reading

Uhm, I calculate it and I get about 4100 rpm at maximum speed. If can help, SpeedFan reports about 4110 rpm for CPU fan. Anyway, if I disable "EC Support" in HWiNFO64 Settings only GPU fan will disappear, CPU fan speed is still there, under "ACPI: ASUS G751JY". Then, if I disable "Evaluate...

Asus ROG G751JY CPU fan reading

Hi, first of all, thank you for the excellent work Martin. I use HWiNFO since years without a problem... well, until now  :D I have an Asus ROG G751JY, using HWiNFO64 v5.36-2960, that shows me both CPU fan speed and GPU fan speed. I use Notebook Fan Control to control both fans. About...
