Computer Freeze -Can anyone provide insight form the log file

Hi, 

I have a system issue where my machine halts randomly on occasion and a motherboard led lights up.  I havent been able to track it down, though I believe it has something to do with the IMEI and my motherboard.

As it turns out, when I use HWINFO64, if i do a sensors scan, I can produce the issue every single time.  

This is not a HWINFO64 issue, but can you provide any insight as to what is happening when the system freezes based on the log? 

For some reason, I cant attach the log? (Maybe its too big?)  but below is a snippet of the end of it, which I would imagine is the last thing happening before the halt occurs.

According to the log data you provided the problem is in the chipset (PCH) thermal monitoring device. Disabling the "Enable PCH Thermal Device" option might solve the problem for HWiNFO, though not quite sure because I don't have the full DBG file.
But anyway, I doubt this problem is related to the general system freezing.

Thanks - In general I would agree but since it forces the same led as the system freeze on the Motherboard, I am going to track it down.

Its the weirdest thing, I will run Prime95, llintpack and memtest86 on full steam for hours and hours no issue... Then out of nowhere Im editing a text file and poof!
I actually think its an issue between the CHIPSET, IMEI and Bios for the board.

Any idea why I might not be able to attach a log file here?

Looks like that was it - complete log attached.  I ran a few time, seems like if "Enable PCH Thermal Device" is on or off I get the same result.

The problem (at least for HWiNFO) is the "Intel(R) C610 series/X99 chipset Thermal Subsystem - 8D24", which might not be configured properly.
I'm not sure why exactly this happens, but a BIOS update might resolve this problem.

Yes. When the above mentioned device isn't configured properly, then it's usually hidden. But it's not this case.
Try to update the BIOS to the latest version.

Already done, Bios was updated before I started digging in - flashed twice, same effect.


In control panel, the device is not hidden.  Are you saying it should be if it was configured properly?
