Curious about GPU computing usage

Hello

So i am just curious what the GPU computing (compute 0, compute 1, compute 3) that can be seen in hwinfo are? Also what happened to compute 2? :) (see my screen shot there is no 2)

The reason im asking is because for the past like 2 decades i have experimented with pretty much everything. Encoding, decoding, gaming, video editing, cad software, photoshop, encrypting, decrypting, mining, AI and much more. Basically any computationally intensive task there is i have probably tried at some point but i dont think i have ever seen those Compute units being used!

Does anyone know what they are for? Can someone tell me of a program that i can run that will make use of them?

The screen shot is from my old AMD Vega64, i also have a 5700xt. I have only ever used AMD cards (i dont know if the same sensors also exist on NVidia cards) but like i said i dont remember ever seeing usage on "GPU Computing".

Meaning of particular usage nodes (engines) is completely depending on GPU drivers. There's no way to universally determine which workload/engine each of these instances represents.
