Disk S.M.A.R.T. - Polling period per every Nth cycle not working for NVMe PCI drives

I know that polling S.M.A.R.T. information can be quiet long (couple ms per poll according HWiNFO64 Profiling Time column) so i have set it to every 4 cycles.

But in the graph (Drive Temperature 2 for example) you can see that in fact temperature is polled every second. This happens only for my M2 SSDs connected via PCIe, not for HDD and SSD via SATA. The driver doesn't matter, or if i have Intel VMD mapped to PCIe or not. This seems like a bug for me.

S.M.A.R.T. polling period affects only SATA drives as these were know to cause higher latency/load.
NVMe drives however haven't be observed to cause issues, so they are polled at each main polling cycle.
