Does uninstalling the software (HWinfo) reset the fan control mechanism to it's default manufacture value? I'm just afraid of making bad decision that would cause my pc to overheat. Thanks!
I have a dell 3640 precision PC, the system always overheats especially the cpu, so I just wanted to try out but I'm afraid of messing up the cooling mechanism automation of the system itself. Thanks!
HWiNFO cannot perform any permanent changes to fan control there. Depending on mode used, custom fan control either requires HWiNFO to be running or a system reset will always restore fan control to the default state.
Ohh thanks so much for your info! Also, does hwinfo's control mechanism reset to system default once I close the app? Like the custom auto or set manual fan speed or does it stay there?
Ohh I see, and one last thing, is it possible to set a fan curve to adjust the speed by the temperature instead of just the fixed 3 rpms (off, low, high)? If you understand me. Thanks!
