Fan Speed - help

Does changing setting via HWinfo is permanent or temporary - (like fan speed in dell 7567), i have changed the settings to manual mode and then to custom auto mode. I want to revert back to original settings, please help.

The change should be temporary only, but on some machines the System Auto mode might fail to activate. If a system reboot doesn't help, then power off the machine and remove battery if present. Wait a few minutes, then switch on.
