I have a Gigabyte B650 Gaming X AX motherboard.
Due to very strange readings in regards to the fan speeds, then I reached out to Gigabyte.
They apparently decided to remove the posibility to calibrate fan speed readings in newer bios'es, which means my fans (according to the bios) are WAY off in speed.
While pushing my cpu (Ryzen 7700X) using FurMark CPU Burner, I get the following readings.
CPU: Arctic Liquid Freezer III 420 (official range: 800—2800 rpm (PWM controlled))
Setting: PWM max 40%. Reading: ~820rpm
According to THIS document from Arctic, it' should actually do about 1800rpm, but the READING should be around 2600rpm (makes no sense to me).
CPU_OPT: 3x Arctic P14 PWM PST ((official range: 200—1350 rpm (PWM controlled))
Setting: PWM max 50%. Reading: ~3070rpm
How is that even possible??? At 50% PWM it should read ~675rpm...
System1: 3x Arctic P14 PWM PST ((official range: 200—1350 rpm (PWM controlled))
Setting: PWM max 50%. Reading: ~1020rpm
Better, but... At 50% PWM it should read ~675rpm...
System2: 3x Arctic P14 PWM PST ((official range: 200—1350 rpm (PWM controlled))
Setting: PWM max 50%. Reading: ~980rpm
Even better, but... At 50% PWM it should read ~675rpm...
System3: 3x Arctic P12 PWM PST ((official range: 200—1800 rpm (PWM controlled))
Setting: PWM max 50%. Reading: ~850rpm
Best result I have seen, but still a bit off... At 50% PWM it should read ~900rpm...
Since those BIOS readings reported to HWiNFO are SO wrong, I wondered if it's possible to get the correct PWM percentage readings,
and then calculate the correct speeds?
