Hi there.
I have an hp envy 16 h1023, and its heating up when in sleep mode.
It gets so hot that its too hot to touch even. this only happens when the lid is closed in sleep mode.
Ive attatched a log of this happening.
I see max temp of heatpackage at 105c which kind of concerns me.
Im looking for guidance in understanding what the log means.
And opinions if these temps is showing something not working right in the computer?
Is there a way i can know from this log if the laptop possibly was damaged from having these types of experiences?
I want to sell it and go for a laptop with an ultra 7 motherboard instead.
ive had it for barely a month, and it still has 3 years warranty. It was a factory refurbish. But from some googling i see this issue quiet prevalent with the hp envys so dont think it has anything to do with being a refurb.
I've attatched a log i took while trying to repeat this issue. (i couldnt attatch excel and cant figure out how to save it in a different format, so i zipped the file)
I put the laptop to sleep plugged in, and came back after about an hour and 45 minutes, and sure enough it was really hot when i opened the lid.
It cooled down pretty quickly, but im concerned with the temps im getting and would like to know if this is an issue, and if it could have damaged my computer.
The first time it happened it got super hot, but i didnt have a temp log then when it happened.
Hoping someone can help here.
Thanks
