I would like to ask how HWiNFO detects current memory timings? I know that current memory speed is reported via SMBUS, however memory timings are not. How then HWiNFO can detect them?
Current memory speed isn't reported via SMBus, this interface is only used to read fixed memory parameters from DIMM SPDs.
Memory timings are read straight from the memory controller and the method used is specific for each controller.
