Hi, I have a very strange issue which I am trying to get to the bottom of.
Usually within a minute of first booting my PC, it will start stuttering heavily, which will last around 10-20minutes then go away on it's own. However, for some reason, launching HWInfo immediately gets rid of the stutter. Something in the initialization process of HWInfo does something that fixes it and I am completely stumped. If anyone could offer any suggestions as what specifically is happening that is getting rid of the stutter it would be greatly appreciated. The stutter seems to go away either on or after the "Analyzing Memory Configuration" section of initialization. My system is a 7950X3D and a 4080. I have tried some other similar programs such as LibreHardwareMonitor or FanControl but neither have the same effect.
EDIT: Was finally able to track down the issue, an AHCI controller was being rapidly swapped between D0 and D3 states. I only have NVME drives so I just disabled the two ahci controllers in device manager and the issue is fixed.
