I9-14900k Temperature

Hi all,
I recently got a new pc and these are my specs:
ASRock Z790 NOVA
Lian Li Galahad II LCD SL-INF 3670 watercooling
i9-14900K 3,2GHz

rest is less relevent :)

So my question is, should i be worried with these readings ? This was after me playing a game for 1,5 hours btw.
I know about the issues Intel has, but i'm trying NOT to blow up my cpu/mobo :p

Hope anyone here can help me, should i return it for a checkup ? Or is this all "normal" ?

Such temperatures won't blow up your system but a good water cooler should prevent such high values.

Thanks for the responds.
Its even getting a bit higher after a while, i'm returning it tomorrow.
Appreciate the answer.

Whats your cooling for the CPU?
And Its power consumption (watt) is very high
I can understand if you run all core loads to get 250W as this is its configured max power limit (253W).
But on gaming to exceed 200W is totally wrong IMO.
On the other hand I do not have personal experience with Intel CPUs.

Also you might want to consider the latest news going on all around the internet for 13/14th gen of Intel CPUs failing (with high rate) due to excessive power, voltage and temperature.
And by fail I mean permanent degradation. Intel is planning to release a new microcode for them in mid August through new board BIOS versions to try to keep the CPUs from degrading themselves. I can safely assume that this will involve lowering frequency, voltage and power consumption with whatever loss in raw performance.

Hi,
thanks for your reply.
I put my specs in the OP.
That watercooler supposed to be pretty good. The recent Intel issues is what made me worry too... that combined with my livingroom beeing 28degrees celsius now

You might want to see these. Very informative videos
Additionally maybe save off some power consumption for example set the limit from 253W down to 200W
It will help with temps

Its on a Gigabyte board but with some research you could find the equivalent settings on yours
