Lower memory speed = less errors? How does it work

If I set my RAM to xmp profile I get mountains of CPU related errors just from regular web browsing.
If I lower my RAM speed most of the errors are gone.
How does it work?

The XMP default profile should not be causing any errors, this could indicate there's some problem in your system.
