PC Black Screens

Hey everybody, I’ve recently been running through issues on my system. On Sunday I was streaming on OBS playing Warzone 2 and my screen blacked out and put me into the windows 10 login menu.

My rig is AMD Ryzen 9 5900X, MSI MPG X570S EDGE MAX WI-FI Mobo, G.Skill Trident Z Neo 32GB CL16 rams, 6950XT, and a Corsair RMX 1000W psu.

I benchmarked and stress tested my CPU and GPU on OCCT and Heaven Benchmark. While stress testing my CPU on OCCT my temps were ranging between 70-90C. I ran my GPU through extreme settings first on Heaven Benchmark and it instantly black screened and put me into the windows login. I ran the same test again in basic settings and roughly ~4-5 mins into the test it resulted in the same issue.

I then disassembled my computer and reapplied new thermal paste onto the CPU, and resat the GPU into the PCIe slot, After my computer rebooted I ran the same benchmarks, and my CPU temps went down to roughly 70-80C. On the other hand Heaven Benchmark would now instantly crash and also any game I opened it would crash right at the loading screen and put me back into the windows logins.

After this I then ran event viewer and checked my crash logs on applications and the code it would give. For the events that had the same type of crash the code was called “Event 2, AMD_ANR_BG_PROC.” The description states, “The description for Event ID 2 from source AMD_ANG_BG_PROC cannot be found. Either the component that raises this event is not installed on your local computer or the installation is corrupted. You can install or repair the component on the local computer.”

After doing further research on this error (Other forums), it could be linked to either the psu, AMD noise suppression, or even the AMD graphics card. I disabled AMD noise suppression completely and the issue was still occurring.

At this point I’m wondering if I should RMA the card and get a replacement or even try something else, I’m sorry for writing this much I just wanted to give as much detail as I could. Any opinion or tips would be much appreciated.
