Power consumption

I would like to check the overall power consumption of my PC. How to do?

Such total measurement is possible only if the PSU supports power consumption monitoring. Otherwise you get partial values for some components/rails only.

Alternatively a good/accurate power meter or energy meter can be used, you know, the ones you plug between the wall outlet and the PC (or any other device one wants to measure). In German they're called "Energiemessgerät" or "Energiekostenmessgerät".
