I used HW info for many years 5+ but it was 1600 ryzen + MSI x370 Gaming Pro Carbon and I had no problems with it but 2 weeks ago I upgraded to Ryzen 9600X + TUF Gaming B850 Plus WI FI + Kingston Fury Beast DDR5-6000 KF560C30BBK2-32 https://www.kingston.com/en/memory/gaming/kingston-fury-beast-ddr5-memory
and my system was problematic from the start, I couldn't set EXPO Tweaked and EXPO II profiles for memory in BIOS, only EXPO 1 somehow worked sometimes, sometimes it hanged at the start, RAM diode lighting, RESET doesn't work only long press POWER button to switch my system off. Then I reinstalled Win, installed Win11 24H2, drivers, software and had no problem with booting until I installed HWINFO last stable 8.26, my BIOS hanged right after that during reboot, black display, no keyboard lighting, RESET does not work, I can only long press power button to switch it off. But then it worked somehow again for almost 2 weeks until I installed previous beta (before today's 5746 it was 5745 I guess) and NOTHING worked anymore including EXPO I profile, my system hangs every 2-3nd reboot with RAM diode lighting. I didn't know what to do, so I thought my RAM broke or MB so I didn't know what to RMA, MB, RAM or both. Then I googled a bit and saw one dude said it can be monitoring software and then I realized that my system is completely stable as long as I don't boot into Windows, if I change any memory profile then reboot, it always booting well and I can always go into BIOS setup, problems appear only when I reboot Windows. So I remembered that yesterday morning I updated HWINFO to 5745 beta and googled "HWINFO reboot" and it gave me this link https://www.hwinfo.com/forum/thread...s-7-64bit-system-if-hwinfo-was-started.10223/ so culprit was solved. I simply disabled SMBus and everythign working fine now, I can use DOCP Tweaked profile for my memory and get good performance boost. Man, I had 2 hellish weeks scared of each reboot waiting for reboot hangs.
Also my keyboard is another story, you see it also didn't boot after reboot sometimes, RGB lighting off and not responding, I thought USB power savings modes are at fault, I had such troubles before (I had ryzen 5600+ASUS ROG Strix B550 in 2024 then sold it, and KB problem appeared on that system, I read on the internet that my system booting too fast so keyboard doesn't have time to initialize so I should disable HID USB power saving in device control panel) so I disabled HID's power savings in device panel and my KB worked until again that beta update it started to not boot again, disabling SMBus also fixed my KB boot.
