Testing PC with no OS

Hi

Just wondering if there is anyway I can test a used gaming pc,for faults heat damage etc, that I have seen for sale with no OS?

it has a dedicated GPU also

Any ideas?

There are two options:
1. Either make a DOS bootable medium and use HWiNFO for DOS, or
2. Make a WinPE bootable medium and use HWiNFO32

will HWiNFO for DOS reveal any issues, heat, noise etc?

It can report sensor information, but ehm, noise? It is also no longer maintained, so it doesn't support later systems.

Hehe noise- I meant will it stress test the components to reveal heat issues which would make the fans noisy.
If I run this dos program will I still be taking the risk of the PC being faulty?

For such PC I suggest to got with the WinPE option.
