WHEA / Power reporting deviation

hey all,

not sure exactly what is the pin pointer for this problem but maybe someone here can help. i always play with hwinfo open to monitor my pcs sensors and I noticed at the bottom for the WHEA errors, its gathering a ton of errors.

The other thing is that I also notice after a day or two of my pc being online the power reporting deviation % goes into red. The lowest I've seen it be is 52% the other day.

Is this concerning? (I mean I'm concerned) but I checked Event viewer and it was a bunch of event ID 19's and according to the internet/chatgpt, it doesnt seem something bad but I feel like my pc's performance is less than it was a month or so ago.

This is what's under the general tab in event viewer for that ID :

A corrected hardware error has occurred.

Reported by component: Processor Core
Error Source: Corrected Machine Check
Error Type: Bus/Interconnect Error
Processor APIC ID: 0

This is the MAIN one I am getting. It shows up as a warning under my log list. There are tons across minutes and hours, I'm not sure what the trigger is here for this. Is it just a false error? As of writing this now, I went up to 42,634 errors on HWINFO but my event log only shows 13.1k events across the last three days. I'm not sure where hwinfo is finding this 42k but anyone have any idea on what I should do to get this fixed?

WHEA errors are not related to the Power Reporting Deviation, it's caused by something else.
Those errors certainly have an impact on system performance. I'd recommend to upgrade the BIOS to the latest version first.

Oh yeah I wasnt saying I think the two are related, I was kinda just bringing it up as a second point.

So that is related to my bios? I'm not entirely sure how to update it? I just go into my bios right and I should be able to find it from there or is it a hidden a little bit?

Update: I updated my bios and it seems like that may of been the fix. The last two times I restarted my pc prior to the update, I would of had like 1-10 errors within the first minute. I've been online for about 10 minutes now with zero errors. Thanks Martin!
