I downloaded 7.41-5020 beta. 1st time I tried a beta because of the Corsair support. Thank you, I like that. The problem is it will not "auto start". I x'ed the box for "auto start" in main. I looked and it is still x'ed. It seems to run fine otherwise. What did I miss?

Thank You
Mark

Check in Windows Task Scheduler if you see the HWiNFO task and it's configured properly, especially the path.
You might also try to disable Auto Start, click OK and enable it again.

I did not see it in scheduler. I disabled AutoStart, restarted the computer. enabled AutoStart and restarted the computer, no fix. I reset Main to Defaults, restarted the computer and we are good. Thanks for the help. Sometimes I need someone to kick my brain into simple mode to fix the simple things.

Thank You
Mark

Exhuming this thread, I have a pro license and am currently running version 8.06 which is the last version before my license expired. Hwino "about" shows the license is valid and everything seems to work fine, but like the OP mine willnot auto start, so I have to manualy launch the program every time I reboot.

I looked in task scheduler and there is no hwinfo instance. Also, in the app, checking the "auto start" box will not stick. Once I hit ok, and then re open settings, the auto start box is unchecked.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I'd recommend using the latest HWiNFO version as this issue might have been fixed, but... ok
If enabling the checkbox doesn't work, it means HWiNFO is unable to create the task, something might be preventing it. Then you'll need to manually create the task in Task Scheduler.

Thank you Martin,
SO the application worked fine for the year that my license was valid. During that time, I had auto-update endabled and took advantage of the updates as they came. When my license expired, I unchedked the auto update. At some point, I inadvertently updated the app, and that is when it stopped auto starting. So at that point, I reverted back to the archived version of the last version before license expiration, and now this is where I am at.

I am a bit unclear on how to assign hwinfo in the task scheduler. IS ther any chance you can provide a little guidance?

Thanks again for the reply sir.
