Z77X-D3H/Z77X-UP5

RE: Z77X-D3H

This is very strange, because I can't find a reason why this should happen, especially for the IT8728F. Can you please try to disable individual values under this sensor to see if there's a certain value causing this?
Also, please check if you have other similar applications running concurrently.

RE: Z77X-D3H

Hi Martin,

Will be great if you will adjust memory voltage reading for Gigabyte Z77 series with notch down,as is slightly higher then in ET6 and BIOS.

Pic attached,thanks in advance.

Stasio

RE: Z77X-D3H

Sure. Can you please check at different DRAM voltages if the difference between HWiNFO and ET6 is constant (offset), or varies (linear) ?

Sure,thanks Martin.

Attached 3 different Vdimm voltage 1.52V,1.57V and 1.61V in BIOS.
Seems to be offset.
SIV 4.31 show correct.

RE: Z77X-D3H

Thanks for the data. So it seems the previous offset (+0.014V) that we thought should be used, now needs to be removed..
I don't remember anymore why we thought there should be such offset applied, but I suppose it was based on a screenshot of ET6 and HWiNFO in the past.. Maybe they changed ET6 now? Or maybe it was a different board model that needs an offset?
Anyway, I'll remove that offset in the next build.

RE: Z77X-D3H

Thanks Martin.
Yea,maybe last time I didn't check various voltage levels,
as Vdimm in BIOS is in 0.005V levels and displayed voltage (ITE) levels in 0.012V.
It's not ideal but, as far will be same as ET6.
I will also give you some info about Z77X-UP5 TH soon.

RE: Z77X-D3H

Hi Martin,

I don't want to open new thread. Here is Z77X-UP5 TH board.
Debug report attached and Vdimm offset pic.All default,Vdimm in BIOS and ET6 1.53V.
UP5 TH came now with new IRF 3550 PowIRstage® ICs.
Also send report to Miklos.
Anything else,let me know.
Rgs.

RE: Z77X-D3H

Thanks for the datasheet, but I don't think this is the VR that's used on that mobo.
Also, this model seems to have a different VR layout, so I think I'll need to adjust this too. Unfortunately the logfile doesn't seem to contain the sensor data, nor the screenshot (VRs not visible there). There also seems to be a new IRF VR, but I don't think this is the IR3550.

Edit: It seems to me that on this board the VRs are following:
Vcore (probably a new IRF chip close to IR3567?)
CPU VCCIO/VTT (IR3750)
iGPU VAXG (IR3750)
VDIMM (IR3750)

RE: Z77X-D3H

Hm, interesting.. But the IR3550 datasheet doesn't list a PMBus interface (not even pin list) which is used to communicate with this chip...

RE: Z77X-D3H

Thanks, but I think the VR-Zone article is quite clear about that and I'm almost sure, it's the IR3563 Digital PWM chip which can be controlled via PMBus. That one is then connected to the IR3550...
I'm trying to convince Ray too ;)

RE: Z77X-D3H

Vdimm OK.

RE: Z77X-D3H

Thanks. All seems to be correct now, I'm just not sure about the IR3563 Vcore value...
