    Reported PCH temps

Yes that is certainly a possibility, but 23C is a very large difference from inside the tiny IC to surface, especially long term (ie not just spikes but steady long term temps). This is a Dell Alienware 17 R5 mainboard.

    Reported PCH temps

I am not sure   other than it says "Intel PCH". Does this help?

    Reported PCH temps

My PCH, like many others, is "cooking" and I have used various heatsinks etc over it to no avail. Finally I have measured it with two electronic and one IR thermometer, and its temperature was for example 71C-72C but HWinfo reported 94C+. This is a significant difference between measured...

    PCH disappears after sleep

What is the relationship between the BIOS and the PCH ? How do you read the PCH temperature sensor, and what can the BIOS do to stop you? I am asking out of sheer curiosity because my PCH is very hot (reaches 100C) and would like to know and to understand more.

    PCH disappears after sleep

As per title, PCH disappears after a sleep/resume, and it does not come back unless a there is a reboot (ie logging out/in does not fix it). Windows 10 Pro HWinfo v 5.84.3450

    CPU undervolt and turbo settings

Thanks for the quick reply! I can see it now and I would suggest it is possible to open the main window from the sensors and vice versa, otherwise you have to close down the app and restart.

    CPU undervolt and turbo settings

Is it possible to read/display the CPU undervolt settings ? I know it displays VID but there is no reference, Intel XTU displays the actual undervolt setting, eg -150mV. Is it possible to read/display the current CPU turbo settings? For example 1 core = 40x, 2 cores = 39x etc Many thanks

    Save Settings

Can you please add a "Save Settings" button and NOT close ? It weird that the only way to save your settings is to … close the app.

Location and size of sensors and charts on screen lost after a restart

"For the PCH sensor problem please attach the HWiNFO Debug File for analysis. " Hi, the PCH has magically reappeared, I have no idea why. I think it is a display / GUI issue because it just disappeared from the list completely, as if it never existed. If there was a problem reading the sensor...

Location and size of sensors and charts on screen lost after a restart

OK, I cannot reproduce it now, I presume it stores the location and size of charts in the registry?  Second problem: the PCH has disappeared and am not sure what I did to make it go or how I can get it back. I have tried enabling it "Enable PCH Thermal Device", I have tried "Reset...

Location and size of sensors and charts on screen lost after a restart

Every time I load hwinfo it tries to remember what charts I had open as well as location and size and gets it wrong and I then have to resize them one at a time. 4K screen, 200% scale. If you could please make it so that it remembers where the windows are and their sizes it would be great...
