Something in the ASUS bios caused your CPU to consume more power. 99 watts on Gigabyte board vs 123 watts on ASUS board. 123 watts sounds like oc on a 65 watts tdp cpu.
Can you reset the asus board bios to default and turn off ASUS multi-core enhancer? I think there is another ASUS feature that...
There is no DRAM temperature report section for my ram in Hwinfo64. HWInfo64 said Module Temperature Sensor (TSOD): Not Supported? I already done reinstall HWInfo64.
Do my ram have temperature sensor reading or is there something else wrong here? Pictures attach below.
My ram here which is 2x...
I still dont get it though. Is this has to do with motherboard lie to the cpu when it comes to supply power? Is my value bad? When i ran cinebench r20 multi thread, i see power reporting deviation of 80% to 85%.
I need a check to see is this any dangerous or not because I see red numbers in power reporting deviation. I did undervolt my Ryzen 7 3700x on ASUS ROG Strix X470F motherboard. No Precision boost override.
@Martin Everything is fine but still see thermal throttling on htc this week while playing BF5. 3700x clockspeed is still around 4.2ghz. AMD 1.0.0.4b bios is still buggy atm so I am on the last 1.0.0.3 until 1.0.0.4 is stable enough for me to update bios.
@Zach I got this 3 times now.
@Martin
This happened to me twice now. I got a red yes on Thermal Throttling (HTC). I am using official HWInfo64 version, no beta. Temp is under 95c in CPU(tctl/tdie), cpu die(average), and cpu ccd1(tdie). First one happened to me somewhere in Oct or Nov and now today Jan 1 by the time I post...
What is effective clock? Is this normal? Just booted into Windows and opened up Firefox and heading to this forums to post.
From HWInfo reading, effective clock is totally different than Core # clock reported. Is this normal? Core # Clock around 4.3ghz - 4.4ghz while effective clock is below 2ghz.
