I tried to up date bios from A00 to A06 and it does not work. Does my fan work normally if i don't turn HWinfo on?

what if i reinstall window.

I have a Alienware 17r2 i only see fan speed when i click on the icon at the bottom and set it on custom auto. When i set it on custom it work fine but when i set it back to system auto it drops to 0 and stop working, and i have to reset my computer everytime. any idea how could i fix this...
