Tried both methods, 1 and method 2, same results. Just spins up for a moment and then settles back down to what it was. Does the "spin down after" setting have something to do with it? I see it defaults at 2 seconds, or is that something else?

Fan control works on my Dell 3650 desktop but it only spikes the RPM's for a brief moment, in the same way the Dell diagnostic tool does. Just spins it up for a moment and then it steps right back down to normal. Is there a way of holding the rpm's at the level set ?
