Is Dram Freq correct in Tiger Lake laptop CPUs with 3200mhz DDR4

Thanks so much. I was considering sending the Lenovo back as I thought perhaps they had throttled back the memory to half speed for some reason (like overheating). Interesting, 3200 at Gear 2 is not as good as 2800 at gear 1 due to latency. While I might be able to run at Gear 1, Lenovo gives...

Is Dram Freq correct in Tiger Lake laptop CPUs with 3200mhz DDR4

Aha. Thanks. So I can rely on HWIFO memory clock speed as correct even though it does not show the memory controller clock speed at 800? So do you believe I am getting the full 3200 (with double data rate) on my machine with gear 2? Thanks

Is Dram Freq correct in Tiger Lake laptop CPUs with 3200mhz DDR4

I understand that in Gen 11 Intel Laptops (ie i7-117850H) with 3200mhz DDR4 ram, it must run at Gear 2 HWiNFO correctly shows this running in Gear 2. It also shows the dram freq at about 1600 which I believe is correct. However, there is no indication of what the memory controller freq is. In...

Memory Clock frequency (basically analog Clock frequency reading)

Hi Hermann, I remain confused. HWINFO provides good info on my old Dell laptop. Clock speed is about half of the DDR rated speed which makes sense. HWINFO is also providing me with a clock speed of 1600 which should mean 3200 when doubled. Seems good. But the other program, CPUZ is showing...

Memory Clock frequency (basically analog Clock frequency reading)

Hi I7-11885H Tried under load. Made no difference to the CPU-Z report of 798. Wonder if something in Lenovo firmware makes it hard for CPU-Z to get right answer???? I am hopeful the memory is running at the "purchased speed" of 3200 (i.e. 1600 per half cycle) but just not sure how to verify...

Memory Clock frequency (basically analog Clock frequency reading)

HI there. I have Lenovo laptop, brand new with 32G DDR4 3200 memory. two 16G sticks. HWiNFO64 seems to correctly say the clock speed is 1596.1. So doubling for the DDR4 would in fact yield about 3200. However, when I run CPU-Z, it says the DRAM frequency is 798. This is half of what...
