A bit high, no?

Greetings!  

These temps are from a stock, drive-updated Alienware 15 R3, relatively new.. i7-7700hq (kabylake), GTX1070, 16GB ram

on a flat surface with nothing around to block the vents.

This was after playing Deus Ex Mankind Divided on the GeForce optimized settings for about an hour.

There was the occasional stutter in game, but for the most part it was playable.

Is this higher than normal for AW laptops or is it normal for AW laptops?   :huh:

Sorry, but no pictures are attached.
Most important is that Thermal Throttling doesn't occur, otherwise performance is degraded and stutter can happen.

Yes, that's too high - the CPU has hit the maximum allowed temperature. And as you can see Thermal Throttling is occurring which must be the reason stuttering.
