"AMD K8 CPU Thermal Sensor" on Athlon 64 LE-1640 (Orleans EE) not being shown.

Not my first time reporting HWINFO issues, just my first time doing it on this forum (have done a few reports on VOGONS). :D

Anywho, noticed with my Athlon 64 LE-1640 (Orleans EE) chip that the read-out for the "K8 CPU Thermal Sensor" that is usually shown for Athlon 64 chips isn't being displayed with my chip (in this case, it should show one sensor for this single-core chip).

Not sure if this is relevant, but I am doing direct-die water-cooling with liquid metal, so if the temps seem low, that's why. :)

Thanks!

This is "by design". Pre-Zen AMD CPUs featured an inaccurate thermal sensor and AMD claimed it doesn't even report a real temperature in degrees Celsius.
And this CPU doesn't return any temperature at all (reports 0)..

I guess my chip's thermal sensor is non-functioning, then?

I knew the thermal sensor on Phenoms were unreliable, didn't think Athlon 64s were unreliable too.
