Corsair HX1000i ATX3.1 incorrect Input voltage displayed

That's true when using a program the update firmware, but not when using a flash hardware programmer such as the DediProg SF100.
Well... I can't ship a DediProg SF100 to every user, can I? ;-)

I suspect I have just spotted another firmware bug, the Product Name is CORSAIR when I suspect it should be HX1000i given what my RM850i reports.

Yeah. I was going to WFH today, but after finding a number of missteps made, I'm going to be in the lab noting all of the issues with this firmware. :(

No, but as I said, I already have one, so you would not need to.

Sorry you feel you can't WFH and thank you for all the insight you have provided, feel free to email me if you need any further information.

I often wondered which OEM made the PSUs and now I know.

There are three variants(4 if we count the original blue).
Hi, I just found a SIV save file with the original H1000i (PID 1C07) and it reports HX1000i as the Product Name, what does your old one (the one that reports 230V) report please?

1C07 is only for the HX100i with the blue font. The newer one is 1C1E. There are no other PIDs.

I found out that the firmware was touched to adjust for a lower standby efficiency (removed the burst mode to rid of the clicking noise some customers reported) and the programmer not only failed to save the firmware with a new version number, but also tampered with the VIN variables.

How do I open this window?

At what wattage does the clicking trigger? I haven't heard it even once.

Maybe yours doesn't do it?

Seriously, it was a very loud minority of five or six users that complained, but they were all over Reddit which amplifies things, so we decided the extra 2 or 3% efficiency boost at 2-5% load wasn't worth it.

Sorry to dig this up, but this is the only place I've seen anyone discuss this. Does anyone know if there is a fix for this issue? The HX1000i I recently bought shows the input voltage as 230V and I returned it and got another one with the same result.

There is no fix since the firmware of the PSU cannot be flashed.

Yeah. That's because the inventory at Amazon is all coming from the same container.

Contact Corsair and put in a ticket. It's a known issue.
So it looks like Corsair is offering to replace it with an HX1200i instead. Would you happen to know if that model is also affected by this issue?

I certainly hope Corsair wouldn't be offering higher wattage replacements with the same issue.
Well I wouldn’t either, but I also would have hoped they wouldn’t have been sold that way originally. Alas, here we are. That’s why I was wondering if anyone else had heard any reports of this with different models because as far as I was able to find, this thread was the only source of information on the internet about it.

Did you ask the support rep that offered you the HX1200i if they're aware of the issue and if the replacement is without the issue?

I did yes, but again, I was looking to see if anyone else had some input. In theory, based on the advertised specifications, both HX1000’s I had shouldn’t have had any issues if I were to have believed the advertising from Corsair but here we are.
