Good Morning All
I am using the HWiNFO Fan Control facility and the "Custom Auto" settings to control my fans on a Dell Latitude E6420 laptop
It is working very well but I have noticed that when the temperature reaches a trigger point where the fan goes to the next speed that it only sits there for a very short time and then drops down again and then goes up and triggers the fan again. What I am hoping for is a way to hold the fan speed for a longer period to cool the laptop and then drop down to the lower point
I have noticed that there are 1. A "Respin period" 2. a "Spin-down after" 3. "Use System Auto Control Method 1", 4. "Use System Auto Control Method 2" facilities on the fan control but I cannot find any reference in the manual or on the "Add-ons" page on the HWiNFO web site as to what they do if selected.
Would someone be able to expand on what they do or point me to a document or let me know where I can contact somebody to explain the functionality
