GPU PCIe +12V and 12VHPWR voltage bellow 12v

Hi,

Is it common to have these voltage readings bellow 12v?

I've read (and maybe miss-interperated) that its best to have these readings as close too 12v as possble. Since getting my 5080 i have never seen these readings get to 12v. They are always around 11.9-11.8v.

Apparently this is a sign of a cable that could melt?

Yes, it's normal, especially under load. 11.8-11.9 V is still within the acceptable range. Below ~11.6 V it would be a problem.

This wasnt under any load however, just a pc running "idle" with nothing GPU intensive open. Still okay?

Test it under load.

Still OK. Also FurMark is a very heavy load which you usually won't experience in common scenarios.

I was doing some comparsions between my own set up and my freinds, we both have the same PSU and GPU so was assmuming seeing as he was as 12v i should be too, but each set up even if components are the same are going to have differences i suppose
