Hdd Active time vs Total Activity hdd.

Hello,


I use hwinfo on my PC to see real-time information about my hardware resources consumption.


A few time ago, I had been noticed that the value provided by Total Activity on my hdd doesn't match with the percentage that the windows task manager shows about my hdd usage.


What is the difference between total activity on hdd in hwinfo and hdd active time in windows task manager?


I want to know which reading provides me the percentage of usage for my hdd in real time.

We have no information what methods/metrics the Windows Task Manager uses to monitor disk usage. HWiNFO uses standard Windows queries to gather this data.
