Help! Is there an issue with my gpu?

Hey, I've been having issues with my laptop for ages, the 860m has been causing a lot of trouble and it has generally been an issue with drivers. I installed hwmonitor today and I've never used it but the pcie info is flashing between x16 and disabled, is that normal? any help is appreciated thanks.

Yes, it's normal that if the GPU is secondary (the laptop has also an integrated Intel GPU), the discrete GPU switches off when not needed to preserve power.
