HWiNFO v6.42 available.

Changes:
  • Improved support of some future AMD CPUs and APUs.
  • Fixed a possible hang on some systems with Intel Thunderbolt controller.
  • Enhanced sensor monitoring on ASUS ROG STRIX B550-XE.
  • Added reporting of DIMM module location if BIOS provides correct data.
  • Fixed VRM monitoring on ASRock Z490 Taichi and B550 Steel Legend.
  • Added monitoring of Effective GPU clock on NVIDIA GPUs.
  • Improved reporting of serial number on NVIDIA GPUs.
  • Enhanced sensor monitoring on MSI Z590 and B560 series.
  • Enhanced sensor monitoring on GIGABYTE Z590, B560, H570, Q570 and H510 series.
  • Added monitoring of Aquacomputer farbwerk 360 and highflow NEXT.
  • Added fan speed monitoring on some MSI notebooks.
  • Enhanced sensor monitoring on some ASRock Z590, H570 and B560 series.
  • Added monitoring of GDDR6X Memory Junction Temperature on NVIDIA RTX 30-series.

A note regarding the new GDDR6X Memory Junction Temperature:
Just like in case of Navi, this is not the external (case) temperature, but internal junction temperature measured inside the silicon.
So don't be scared to see higher values than other common temperatures, it's expected. Also the limits are set respectively higher (throttling starts around 110 C).
EDIT: Adding that the value reported should be the current maximum temperature among all memory chips.

Thanks, so i guess its an average of each memory chip ? Could be nice for dual sided boards (like the 3090) to have a separate value for "backplate" cooled ones... Or maybe a kind of "current min/max"

Oh ok, thanks... yep its a bit confusing to see so high values...

IR gun reports 80°c max on the backplate, near the motherboard... 60°c on the other side...

Please read again my first 3 sentences of that post.
Anyway, above 110 C results in throttling so you should look for improving cooling of the backplate.

i know... ive read, but indeed i missed the edit/last line...
may be normal in my use case, but yes, ive no idea of the min/max of the ram chips... not even sure, even if i suspect the highest one is from top ones... could be useful to have the whole list of values ;)

I need to cool them all to be sure

i need to find a bigger heatsink... 1612177605030.png

It's not possible to get individual chip temperatures, there is only a single memory temperature reported by NVIDIA drivers.

Hello, how did you get the memory temperature? I am trying to use function "NvAPI_GPU_GetThermalSettings" but it is not working.
So, which function did you using?

best wish from szzminer topool.top
