HWiNFO32/64 v5.39-3020 Beta available.

Changes:
  • Fixed and enhanced support of AMD Zen/Summit Ridge.
  • Enhanced support of ITE IT8665E LPC/SIO.
  • Enhanced reporting of AMD OPN.
  • Fixed monitoring of CPUs on some systems with multiple CPU packages.
  • Enhanced sensor monitoring on ASUS CROSSHAIR VI.
  • Enhanced sensor monitoring on GIGABYTE B150 series mainboards.
  • Enhanced sensor monitoring on MSI 200-series mainboards.
  • Added support of Nuvoton NCT6795D and NCT5565D HW monitors.
  • Enhanced sensor monitoring on ASUS H97-PRO GAMER.
  • Improved idle fan speed monitoring on NVIDIA GPUs.
  • Added several new NVIDIA and AMD GPU card models.
  • Revised reporting of AMD internal CPU temperature.

Do you think there is a way to improve GPU-FAN monitoring on AMD 390(x) series cards?
They have a FAN-off mode when the temps below 49°C I think, but it always shows up as ~ 1000RPM despite being off.

Please attach the HWiNFO Debug File when the fan goes off and I'll check it.

OK, no problem.

Been a while, was busy :)

I PMd you 2 Debug logs

100_Perc_Fan_HWiNFO64.DBG =
Which is my GPU fans set to 100% for a little bit to cool it down to very low temps
I let HWInfo sit for a while and get some readings, GPU fan should be consistently in the max RPM region for the entire debug log.

0PercFanAuto_to_lowRPM_HWiNFO64.DBG =
I set fans back to auto-mode and they turned FULLY OFF 0-RPM
HwInfo still shows em as ~1k RPM.
They stay off for a few readings then I turn on a game and they slowly kick in
at arround 1-2k RPM (i dont know if you can see all that in the debug file)

I sent you the same information above in the PM As well :)

I'm afraid, I don't know how to fix this, because all hardware fan state indicators are showing a valid fan speed.
Is there any other tool able to show 0 RPM when they are off ?

I'm not sure I think MSI Afterburner was able to, but I can't install that currently as it interferes with the new AMD Drivers and causes huge issues.

However not even the official AMD software can tell me its 0RPM.. so there's that.

EDIT: Maybe sapphires tool can, let me check

Nope. :|

Thats 0RPM:

Well, then I'm afraid there's probably no way how to report such stopped fans. The problem lies deep in the GPU firmware.

Ye I figured... unfortunate, If I remember it ill check MSI Afterburner once its updated and report back.
