Memory modules frequencies list

Hi guys,

First of all, hello to everyone! And thank You for the community, and (of course) for the app!

I have some (prob.) simple question.

I have 2 Team Group DDR4 3000MHz modules (dual ch) 16-18-18-36. Why does it not list 1500 freq and these timings (latencies)? For both modules it lilsts only up to 1400.

Btw as you can see I have already managed to OC manually (not using XMP) to 3000MHz.

Peter

Well, perhaps the module doesn't list a CAS latency required to run at 1500 MHz. You can get more details about the module in the main HWiNFO window.
But to be sure, please attach the HWiNFO Debug File for analysis.

Hi,

I am reading manufacturer's spec on the bottom of http://www.teamgroupinc.com/en/product/T-Force%20Gaming/Gaming%20Memory%20Modules/DDR4%20MEMORY%20MODULES/NIGHT%20HAWK%20RGB%20/%20NIGHT%20HAWK%20DDR4

or

http://www.teamgroupinc.com/Uploads/product/fdJDs4Rw45JQipkAF1v5i4NxG2FJSJwX_FWz5X4Rb9EwY0NP.pdf

and they are different from what is reported here. And they sell the modules as:

3000MHz, 16-18-18-38

So they sell it like this, but modules don't report it? That should be the first spec to be supported and reported.

By the way, even for the 2800 (1400) HWInfo is showing 15-17-17-36, while on the manufacturer's website it's 16-18-18-38 for 2800.

DBG file for reference (too big to attach it here): https://files.fm/u/92yynngg

Thanks. There seems to be a minor glitch in how I understand the DDR4 specification and some vendors :)
It seems this module reports slightly different than what HWiNFO was expecting, so I will fix this in the next build of HWiNFO and it will report:
Supported Module Timing at 1499.3 MHz: 16-18-18-38
This is the highest clock timing calculated based on what the module reports.

Thanks for the clarification Martin! So it means I don't have to call TeamGroup and tell them this and that:)  It's so nice you managed to get the data so quickly form the DBG file. I'm using the tool as a point of reference.

Bets regards,
Peter
