Slow-moving graphs

Hello, I'm in a bit of a predicament.

I want to set up a frame time graph through HWiNFO + RTSS. Right now I have enabled "Show own statistics" on RTSS and the frametime graph moves fast, but when I enable that same frame time graph in the OSD (RTSS) tab in HWiNFO settings, I can never get the graph to move fast, it only moves slightly each time the sensors are polled.

I could just use the frame time graph from RTSS, but then when I hit HWiNFO's Toggle OSD output key, that statistic stays on screen no matter what.

I'm attaching a gif. Hopefully it works. The top graph is what HWiNFO is displaying, bottom graph is RTSS.

Kindly asking for any solutions to this problem of mine..

Thanks!

Change the "Polling Period" in Sensors Settings of HWiNFO to a lower value. Default is 2000 ms (2 seconds).

Hi, thanks for replying.

The RTSS graph moves at my monitor's refresh rate (the gif is choppy) which is 144hz. Even if I try to make HWiNFO's graph move 60 times per second I'd have to poll the sensors every 16.67ms and the program only allows a minimum of 20ms. Slightly related question - does polling sensors cause harm to components?

I come to realize my request might just be impossible. In that case is it possible in any way for HWiNFO to toggle the "Show On-Screen Display" option in the general settings properties of RTSS?

No harm but such frequent polling might not be desirable for some sensors that take more time/resources to read. It might result in higher load.
You can enable the "Profiling Time" column to see which sensor takes how much time to read.

I've figured out a solution!

In RTSS Global settings, in the Plugins tab, I checked the HotkeyHandler.dll and modified the toggle key in that dll to my prefered key. Now I get to keep the RTSS graph and have everything toggle on and off at once, not just the HWiNFO stuff. Thank you for your time!

Cheers.
