No, Its from the GPU. Also called "GPU Junction temp" and it's the absolute highest point of the GPU. "Regular" GPU temp is from a specific sensor on one side of the GPU die.
Memory temp is usually indicated as "GPU Memory Junction temp".
nVidia is revealing memory temp only on models with GDDR6X and not on those with regular GDDR6.
