    MSI X399 sensors performance

I'm sure you saw the system report so you can at least see what the system is comprised of. If you can think of anything that would cause that, i'd be happy to help

    MSI X399 sensors performance

Quite maybe. CoreTemp doesn't seem to have any polling speed issue though it does give less info too (no power figures), so there is that.

    MSI X399 sensors performance

Debug not enabled, "Automatic Logging" is not enabled either. I minimized the GUi so only tray is showing. I selected 100ms polling period to exacerbate the issue, heres a GIF video. https://i.imgur.com/78i3mBz.gifv

    MSI X399 sensors performance

I don't use any addons, just plain jane HWINFO64 sensors that display in the system tray.

    MSI X399 sensors performance

Ah, I didn't know that was available! I enabled it and every column shows 0 ms time except for 1 or 2 GPU sensors every now and then (15 or 16ms, otherwise 0). Maybe threadripper is just 'slow'?

    MSI X399 sensors performance

There is no performance loss of the system as a whole. Just more like ... It's something like the ASUS EC where it was recommended to disable it to increase the performance of HWINFO (faster polling speed). Just trying an extreme example like 100ms poll rate. If I disable every sensor except the...

    MSI X399 sensors performance

Seems there is a pretty big hit to performance when accessing sensors on this board, no matter what I'm monitoring. If you want, here is debug file and report.

    hwinfo (or alternative) for linux?

I'm using linux mint to run a specific stress test program and would like to monitor sensors as it runs. I'm a bit of a linux idiot though and wanted to know if there as a hwinfo (or similar) for linux?

    hwinfo freeze on startup

edit: never mind. Problem was with old buggy intel management engine driver. updated it and lots of other freezes, including hwinfo, went away

    hwinfo freeze on startup

v5.45-3075 win 8.1 x64, fully patched msi z77a-g45 motherboard, celeron g1610, 2x4GB RAM visiontek radeon r9 280X hwinfo64 freezes on startup. cant even get a summary screen, just freezes on scanning.

Poll different sensors at non-default intervals

So I have an Asus Rampave V Extreme motherboard with an ASUS EC embedded sensor chip. It has some useful sensors, including ones that let you hook up a custom temperature probe to it. Unfortunately, if you poll this sensor too often, it will usually just stop responding/disappear eventually...

    HWiNFO32 and HWiNFO64 v5.25-2865 Beta released

"Added experimental reporting of CPU current/power for some later ASUS mainboards." Does this include ASUS RAMPAGE V EXTREME? Whats changed? edit: I see new CPU current and CPU power under the ASUS EC sensor chip. The CPU Power seems to take existing VCCIN sensor under the Nucoton NCT6791D chip...

Customize sensor value based on another sensor's readout

Alright, sorry about the delay. Here's the goodies. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/9768004/BCLK.zip A note: I could not get the 100MHz BCLK stable with my current RAM settings. They were wet to 2666MHz with CAS13-13-13-30 as opposed to 3000MHz CAS15-15-15-35 with 125MHz and 166.7MHz BCLK...

Customize sensor value based on another sensor's readout

Alright, I will do that soon when I schedule my next reboot.

Customize sensor value based on another sensor's readout

So I encountered an interesting bug today, not HWiNFO specific. I use the CPU Package and Total DRAM power sensors to estimate how much of a load I'm putting on my equipment and to better determine what load I'm putting on my cooling system. Well turns out that with, at least my Intel CPU, a...

    HWiNFO32 and HWiNFO64 v5.21-2810 Beta released

For nvidia cards, there is a metric to show how saturated the PCI-E bus is with data. It's possible the AMD equivalent is I/O utilization.

Add keyboard shortcut to disable or hide sensors

Works great, thanks. Can fully manage sensors now with just my keyboard. Much faster.

Add keyboard shortcut to disable or hide sensors

Oh, I wasn't aware you could control + click sensors to select multiple ones individually. I was only aware of selecting one of the 'parent' sensor titles to do something to that entire category (e.g., select the title of a graphics card, you can choose to enable/disable the reading of all...

Add keyboard shortcut to disable or hide sensors

Sometimes my HWiNFO64 loses a few sensors for no apparent reason, other than a bad restart, or sensors reporting 0 (could just be 0 celsius, or 0 volts, 0 rpm, etc). Only way to get them back is to restore original order in the layout submenu of Sensors. Though in more recent builds, there are...

I suppose I should also give a picture as a thank you. :)
