HWinfo Stop my HDD Click noise

The clicking can occur when the HDD heads go to "parking position" (?). Some years ago this was a problem for the combination of some Seagate HDD in linux environments (typically NAS systems). Because some linux systems "log something" every 30s and the parking timeout of these Seagate HDD was...

Radeon RX 480 GPU Core Current

I think the 12V are measured on the motherboard, so it's more the 24-pin cable to the motherboard. But ... I think it's not a "cable issue", it's more that your power supply voltages goes "a little bit too much down under pressure". Btw ... your needed power "is not so high", 150W for a graphic...

Radeon RX 480 GPU Core Current

Hi Swarlos, yes this is it! [attachment=3056] If you have a look at the "GPU Core Power" (up to 150W) you can see that the 120 ampere make sense by a voltage of 1.1-1.2V, because Power = Voltage * Current But these 120 ampere are "internal the graphic card", not from power supply to...

Radeon RX 480 GPU Core Current

Hi Swarlos, run the Benchmark again with Logging switched on, but "Polling Period" should be at least 1000ms (otherwise needed ressources for logging are too high, especially during a benchmark): [attachment=3055] In the logs it's much easier to check if such a high value was a "spike"...

Hi Peagle, interesting is, that the FPS drop downs were during your "Virtual Memory" has changed a lot > 1GB: [attachment=3052] Because it's "Virtual Memory", I assume there was some disk operation (even it's not shown in the logs). The two drop downs < 20 FPS are only 1 and 2 seconds...

Can it be, that those GPU 0% values with low FPS values occured during walking through the menus of the game? I know from DX 11 games, where the FPS number of FRAPS is shown in the corner, that the FPS can drop down to 15-30 in the menus ... and the load for the GPU is typically also very low in...

Hi Peagle, first: the good news: your CPU is not the problem, loads and temperatures are at any time OK ! Far Cry 5 I think the situation is clear: your GPU is on the limit = 100% Core Load: [attachment=3041] Tip: reduce the graphic settings in the game until GPU load is 90-100%...

You can attach them directly to this thread: "New Attachment"   (select file) "Add Attachment"    (this upload the file!) "Insert Into Post" If logfiles are too big: zip the files and upload the zipped-files. Zipped textfiles need only < 10% of original size.

    FPS recording

Hi Peagle, in case of freezes it's better to log the data into files  ! start FRAPS (before HWINFO!) start HWINFO check HWINFO Sensor Status (FRAPS should be available now)          [attachment=3021] for logging check Sensor Settings (Monitoring = YES)        ...

LogViewer for HWINFO is available !

New Version 4.1 Hi all, I created a new version 4.1, which solves the problems described above in reply #71: GenericLogViewer attaches now the sensor names to the category names if available (logging stopped) and needed (category names are not unique). Example: "GPU D3D Usage [%]" from above...

LogViewer for HWINFO is available !

Hello garniv, here are my comments to your post: good idea, I haven't this problem on my radar, even Martin described it already on reply #61. My first thoughts are, that I will add sensor name only in case of a category name is not unique (like your "GPU D3D Usage [%]" example). If I add the...

LogViewer for HWINFO is available !

Hi all, I did a recompilation of the version 4.0 (without code changes), because I noticed that the Compiler setting was configured for 32-bits only. So please, if you have already downloaded version 4.0 (until 12.09.2018), download version 4.0 again. You can verify your version in the "file...

LogViewer for HWINFO is available !

Hi all, I spend some time to improve the GenericLogViewer, so Version 4.0 has two new features: possibility to compare different categories of one file in one diagram possibility to present diagrams in a "dark style" 1) Multiple categories of one file in one diagram If you have only one file...
