    HWiNFO v7.73-5380 Beta released

Yes, I see what you mean but @Thinkpad never mentioned what happens when running HWiNF064.exe manually if it will start or not. If it doesn't, then there are other issues with HWiNFO64 itself since the HWiNFOLauncher method is only needed to automatically start HWiNFO64.exe after OSD was added...

    HWiNFO v7.73-5380 Beta released

Well, that is where the problem lies as this is what happened. The problem started with v7.73-5370 if you read the thread: https://www.hwinfo.com/forum/threads/hwinfo-v7-73-5370-beta-released.9513/ because of the OSD which requires HWiNFO64.exe to start from anywhere under "C:\Program Files" as...

    FEATURE HWiNFO OSD

That's true, but wouldn't the drawback of automatic also have another issue, the most graphics intensive process might actually be hidden behind the current displayed apps as initially I thought clock.exe from post #7 was the Windows clock in the system tray but it is actually this which is a...

    HWiNFO v7.73-5380 Beta released

Yeah, I had the block with MS Windows Security for v7.73-5381 as well and I either Allowed or Restored it. It seems like as soon as the Auto Start is enabled after turning it off in HWInfo settings, the file HWiNFO64Launcher.exe is created which is what is supposed to run from Task Scheduler.

    FEATURE HWiNFO OSD

Interesting, wouldn't a good way to do it be to just display in a certain area of the screen and it can be in the background or always on top?

    HWiNFO v7.73-5380 Beta released

@SpeedyIV - Did you try v7.73-5381 to see if it fixed the problems?

    FEATURE HWiNFO OSD

Yes, I missed that part and figured it out later it was tied to a process which is targeted either manually or automatically. Is this supposed to happen where there is no Automatic target process to be found?

    FEATURE HWiNFO OSD

Thanks, it seems to only work when I have it on Indepedent Window mode, how do I get it working in overlay mode? Update: Seems to be working but the position is in the wrong area as it's on the lower right corner of my screen. Seems like regardless if it's Top-Left, Top-Right, Bottom-Left...

    HWiNFO v7.73-5370 Beta released

I always had to click OK because yesterday in v7.73-5370 I tried just clicking it off and then back on, only to have it still pointing at the v7.73-5365 folder and not the v7.73-5370 when I refreshed Task Scheduler and looked at the HWInfo task properties. It only updated when I clicked on OK.

    HWiNFO v7.73-5370 Beta released

That was what I did. I copied the INI file from the previous version and then manually run the new version and do settings, toggle auto start off from on followed by OK, then settings, toggle auto start on ad click on OK. Right click and exit HWnfo. Launch Task Scheduler, look for HWInfo task...

    HWiNFO v7.73-5370 Beta released

Thanks @SpeedyIV. v7.73-5375 works fine for me as it basically creates a HWiNFO64Launcher.exe as part of the launching from task scheduler.

Where exactly is the error message shown in task scheduler as II wasn't able to see it on mines. Thanks!

    HWiNFO v7.73-5370 Beta released

Same issue here to confirm the results... I always uncheck Auto Start and then OK in Settings and then check Auto Start and then OK in Settings so it points to the current version. It works fine in v7.73-5365 and earlier but just v7.73-5370 has this issue.

    HWiNFO v7.66 released

Is Build 5271 actually v7.66 or v7.67 Beta as the current v7.66 released is also build 5271? The v7.67 Build 5271 linked in post #2 appears to have only the x64 and not the x86(32 bit) .exe.

HWiNFO can't see fans on newer Dell machines?

Thanks SilverAzide, yours seems to have way more things listed under SMIBIOS DMI than I do as I don't have the Processor, L1 Cache, L2 Cache, L3 Cache, Bios Language, Group Associations, Portable Battery, Cooling Device, Temperature Probe, System Power Supply from my brief comparison...
