Can I check memory leak via HWinfo while playing games?

If so, which item do I have to monitor? Virtual memory load perhaps?

Yes, basically any of the virtual memory values. But since HWiNFO doesn't show per-process usage, it won't be able to tell you which exact process is causing the leak.
